“We Remember: Songs of Survivors,” is a recent PBS Documentary that shares the stories of Holocaust survivors through songs written in collaboration with singer-songwriters. These songs, filled with joy and healing, celebrate the extraordinary lives of this resilient generation.

The We Remembers are four musicians who participated in this project to the stage to perform their original music along with the music from the film. Featuring Elizabeth Clark, Jude Roberts, Kelleigh McKenzie, and Michael Veitch, performances will include clips and stories from their life-changing collaborations with the Holocaust Survivors.

About The We Remembers:

Composer, harpist/pianist, vocalist, and performance artist Elizabeth Clark’s major works include her interdisciplinary project "Seeds Under Nuclear Winter: An Earth Opera" which premiered in 2021, and the 2015 live-recorded album “Live at the Old Dutch Church.” She has performed with her world music ensemble 'Mamalama' at retreat centers and sanctuaries including the Omega Institute, Kripalu, and Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.

Jude Roberts has combined contemporary music with roots of English, Irish and Appalachian folk music and touches of baroque and Romantic-era classical pieces and European folk/pop. He’s performed at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and has toured throughout Europe.

Kelleigh McKenzie is a winner of NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, her song "Gin" won the Independent Music Award for Best Americana Song in 2009 and was featured on her critically acclaimed album "Chances."

Michael Veitch’s song “Veteran’s Day” has been covered by Judy Collins. His latest album, “Wachtraum” (“wake dream” in German) broke the top 20 on the Folk Radio Charts with “Valentine’s Day” hitting number one. Previously his song, “Pledging Allegiance” reached #10 on the 2017 Folk/Americana charts. He’s played the Newport Folk Music Festival and Kerrville.

The Cutting Room is at 44 E. 32nd Street, in New York City.
Admission is $25 in advance/$30 day of show (with a minimum food/drink of $20 per person).
The venue phone is 212-691-1900.

MAGIC DICK & SHUN NG
The soulful blues rocking duo of Magic Dick (the legendary harmonica player for Boston's legendary J. Geils Band) and guitarist/vocal sensation Shun Ng EP is called ABOUT TIME.

Since 1969, Magic Dick has toured the world playing and blowing away clubs and stadiums with the J. Geils Band. But he heard Shun Ng’s album, FUNKY THUMB STUFF, and wanted a musical collaboration with the upcoming musician, “Shun’s sound simply made me feel very alive and induced in me a synchronous alignment of musical DNA as if it was his intention as well as mine all along!”

Shun Ng is an award-winning fingerstyle guitar virtuoso, singer and songwriter, known for his unique style which infuses elements of Soul, Funk, Blues and Jazz. He’s won praise from legendary producer, Quincy Jones, who says, “I was simply blown away by both his soul and his science – his creativity and his uniqueness is astounding.” Shun is a recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame 'Holly Prize' and winner of 'International Artist of The Year'  at the Boston Music Awards.

Shun explains the goal was to “make music in a way that no one had quite done before while remaining grounded in our roots. Magic Dick brings a powerhouse attack with ferocious precision and a killer groove to this duo. I have great respect for him, he has seemingly done it all, but is still constantly trying to push the boundaries of music and chase the best in himself, a true artist. To be working with a true Boston legend is a real privilege."

JOHNNY A.
"Just Me...and My Guitars" is what Johnny A. calls his solo concert.  For nearly 20 years Johnny A. has travelled the world effortlessly gliding through, bending and blending, musical genres to deliver his own unique style of instrumental guitar music.

To quote the LONDON FREE PRESS (Johnny A. is...) "a musician who resists easy categorization and that's always cool by us." JAZZIZ Magazine perfectly stated, "Johnny A. has eclectic musical vision and the skills to realize it... A.’s music is both accessible and sophisticated."

Never content with complacency, and always up for a challenge, Johnny again takes an adventurous musical left turn to present his distinct, instrumental guitar approach for the very first time in a completely “solo” intimate atmosphere.

With strong emphasis on melody and arrangements from the British songbook of the 1960s, he brings his fluid guitar style to select venues all across the United States.
The evening promises to be a very special "living room experience" with some of Johnny's favorite songs and stories all of which have molded him into the musician and person he is today.

It's no wonder that Gibson and Epiphone guitars have honored him with not one but three signature model guitars designed to his specifications.  Don't miss this rare and unique opportunity to see Grammy-Nominated, Boston Music Hall of Fame Inductee and one of America's finest instrumental guitarists, Johnny A., up close and personal.

LEMONADE, Alex Boye' Song About Turning A Negative Into A Positive!

If you’d like to help turn around any and all of today’s negativity, listen to Alex Boye’’s “Lemonade.”
Listen to this joyful song that says, “Every day is like a brand new day.”

Alex Boye’’s upbeat performances of pop hits, including Taylor Swift’s “SHAKE IT OFF” and his latest BELIEVE by Imagine Dragons define his empowering attitudes.  His song LEMONADE is an original, and much needed in today’s angry society:  The hook” “I used to be bitter, bitter, bitter or you can be better, better, better.”  Lyrics below.

Alex and his band are touring, currently, as “Artist of the Year” by the Hard Rock Cafe & Pepsi. They play the half-time show for Monday Night Football Dec. 11 (Miami Dolphins VS New England Patriots).

I, first, saw him live July 2015 when he was singing solos with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Carnegie Hall.  Alex has previous national TV exposure form appearing on America’s Got Talent in 2015.

LEMONADE
Performed by Alex Boye’

I'm just so broke you won't believe
Can't get a dollar out of me
And as far as I can see
I'm losing control like a bad disease
No I just can't get relief
I've been shot down by the life police
And everyday I try to rise
But I can't succeed
Can anybody find a cure for me?
You can be bitter, bitter, bitter
Or you can be better, better, better

When life gives you lemons
It's gonna be okay
Don't worry little children
And don't complain (woh)
Remember you're golden
So find some sugar cane
When life gives you lemons
Make lemonade

Hama kama hama kama heyama kama x4

Now every day is like a brand new year
I throw my hands up in the air
Like I just don't care
I'm moonwalking down the streets
Feeling like oh yeah (oh yeah!)
Like the bottom of the glass now I see clear
So now I laugh just a little more (Yeehehee!)
I stand much taller than I did before (Yahahaa!)
I know I'm not where I need to be
But I thank God that I'm not
Where I used to be
I used to be bitter, bitter bitter
And now I feel better, better, better
